2003-2008 Exam Passing Statistics

The California Department of Real Estate's published "Exam Passing Statistics" show a Salesperson pass rate that is constant between 40% and 45%. This dramatically changed in December 2007 and continued in January 2008. As you can see the pass rate dramatically increased 11%.


During this same time DRE statistics also show a volatile up and down Broker pass rate that is always lower than the agent pass rate even with the dramatic January lowering if the passing difficulty by 11%

Within one short month the spread between pass rates for the fourth time in 4 years violently changed.



Why? The Department of Real Estate will not say.
They ONLY releases statistics. They do not explain them.
